My Father and I were on a road trip when we stumbled upon this beautiful piece of heaven, or perhaps it stumbled upon us 🙂 Either way, it was a perfect fit. We stayed for two nights. I went for swim (Picture 1 - Me in the lake)...so refreshing! My 78-year-old father, after chatting with a neighbour (Picture 2- my dad is the big guy) went to bed around 9pm. I enjoyed the unbelievably clear evening and sipped my beverage on the dock until about 10:30. The water was like glass. I could see the moon and stars reflecting off of the water. It was a night sky over a night sky. And quiet, oh so quiet. The lodging was incredible. Clean rooms, large bathroom and walk out to the beach and dock. I cannot continue without mentioning the owners & neighbours. Hospitality was absolutely fantastic. They even provided me with a fan in my room because I had mentioned earlier in the day that I enjoy white noise while sleeping. If that isn't above and beyond, I don't know what is. In summary- Forget about a motel, hotel, holiday inn. Stay here. Kind & True were Christine and Karen. Great lodging surrounded by nature (Picture 3 from Dock). 12 out of 10!!!

My husband and I had the most relaxing stay at this Vacation Apartment on the Lake. The scenery is so beautiful with a glass like calm to the pristine lake. The area is very quiet, discretely tucked away from noisy traffic! The sunrise and sunsets are spectacular. The apartment is also beautiful with everything you need to make this your home away from home. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, which was so great for my bad back. You can engage in conversation with the very friendly and knowledgeable owners while relaxing or just keep to yourself. We were happy to know that we were only mins from Sydney and mins from the world wide iconic Cabot Trail! We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a very special getaway.

I love everything about Fiddlers Lake, this is a space where one can recharge the soul, and connect with nature. The cabin room is large and stunning with a great view from the bed to the lake. The bathroom and bedroom has lots of space, and everything is pristine and easily accessible. Waking up to the sounds of the loons every morning is priceless as well as the occasional beavers in the water while you kayak. With only a handful of cottages on the lake this property is very quiet. The road near the property is great for walking and biking as well as picking berries. Lots of spots for swimming and floating, I do miss the nostalgic smell of the morning forest and warm cup of coffee, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a wonderful relaxing vacation in Cape Breton.
